AEG OGDEN ARENAS CONTINUE TO SHINE ON WORLD STAGE
AEG Ogden are pleased to announce that two of its venues, Allphones Arena in Sydney and Brisbane Entertainment Centre, have again been listed in the Top 20 Arena Venues in Pollstar’s 3rd Quarter report on worldwide ticket sales of the Top 100 arenas and venues.
Brisbane Entertainment Centre has had a stellar nine months coming in at Number 17 on the Pollstar list. The 14,500 capacity venue continues to punch above its weight and in the period to September 2012 hosted concerts and events from a diverse array of entertainers with the biggest sellers being Roger Waters, Rod Stewart, Roxette, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, How To Train Your Dragon, John Fogerty, Prince, Lady Gaga, Disney on Ice , Beach Boys and Pitbull.
Allphones Arena, which has regularly features in Pollstar’s top 20 famous placed at the Number 20 on the list. In the nine months to September 2012 Allphones Arena has played host to shows by superstar acts, with the biggest ticket sales coming from Roger Waters, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, How To Train Your Dragon, Prince, NKOTBSB, Lady Gaga, Beach Boys and Pitbull.
In the coming months the Arenas will also host shows from acts like Nickelback, Matchbox Twenty, Elton John, Roller Derby Extreme, J-lo, The Wiggles, Keith Urban, Celtic Thunder, P!nk and One Direction.
Allphones Arena and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre form part of AEG Ogden’s arena network in Australia which also includes Newcastle Entertainment Centre and the soon-to-be-opened Perth Arena. The stunning 15,500 capacity Perth Arena will be officially opened on 10 November with a very special concert experience, Sir Elton John – Under the Stars, and a slew of outstanding acts also confirmed to perform in its opening year including Matchbox Twenty, Nickelback, The Wiggles, J-lo, Nicki Minaj, Russell Brand, Weezer, Celtic Thunder, P!nk and One Direction.

Other Australian arenas that ranked in the Top 100 include Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne at Number 7, Sydney Entertainment Centre at Number 53 and the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney at Number 70.
