AEG Ogden and Allphones Arena are proud to announce that Arena staffer, Krystle Mutton, has been awarded the Venue Management School’s (VMS) AEG Ogden Scholarship, the most prestigious academic Award achievable in the venue management industry.
Krystle is the Corporate and Membership Sales Manager at the AEG Ogden managed Allphones Arena in Sydney, where she has worked for the past four years. She is the first AEG Ogden employee to win the scholarship whilst in the company’s employ.
The scholarship will provide Krystle with an all expenses trip to Oglebay in Wheeling, West Virginia, next June where she will be enrolled in the International Association of Venue Managers’ Graduate Institute.
The scholarship, which has been funded by AEG Ogden since the inception of the VMS in 1995, was presented at the VMS Graduation Dinner last week by company Chairman and CEO Harvey Lister.
Mr. Lister said "This is a special moment being able to present this award to one of our own employees.
"Krystle is one of our brightest young people and this scholarship is a credit to her and a testament to where we see her going in the future. She is a real star of our organisation."
Krystle was ecstatic and proud to win the scholarship with her acceptance speech drawing high praise.
“I am so proud and honoured to have won this scholarship and I am very thankful to AEG Ogden for providing me with the opportunities that I’ve been given. The School has been an amazing experience and I have made so many wonderful friends and the scholarship is the icing on the cake” Ms Mutton said.
AEG Ogden Group Director of Arenas, Tim Worton, who chaired proceedings, was equally enthusiastic about Krystle’s win.
“Being on the stage for the announcement of Krystle as the scholarship winner was one of my most satisfying moments in the industry. She is huge talent, a great ambassador for the company and the Arena and a wonderful person. I’m very proud of her.” Mr Worton said.
