Tickets on sale from 12 noon – Thursday, 8 November, 2012
Allphones Arena is thrilled to welcome the legendary Black Sabbath for their first Sydney show in 40 years!
Original band members – the Prince of Darkness himself: Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi will make a thunderous return to Sydney on Saturday, 27 April, 2013, for their first show in the harbour city since 1974.
With their riff-based songs, extreme volume, and dark, demonic subject matter, Black Sabbath embody the heavy-metal aesthetic. Hailing from Birmingham, England, Black Sabbath released their self-titled debut album on February 13, 1970. Their follow up album, the seminal masterpiece, UK No. 1 album Paranoid - featured the all-time rock anthems War Pigs and Iron Man as well as the title track, Paranoid.
Allphones Arena’s General Manager, Guy Ngata, said today “Black Sabbath are one of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time. This band really helped to create the genre. This will be history in the making at Allphones Arena, so get out your black t-shirt and prepare to be blown away” Tickets go on sale on Thursday, 8 November at 12.00pm. There is a limit of six tickets per transaction.
