Sunday afternoon saw Nitro Circus Live become the most successful sporting event ever at Allphones Arena. The show broke the venue’s ticket sales record for a sporting event at the conclusion of the third and final Sydney show.
Ticket sales for all three Allphones Arena shows were 33,405, breaking the venues previous record. To celebrate the milestone, Allphones Arena Commercial Manager, Mr Phil King presented Travis Pastrana with a commemorative star outside the main entrance to Allphones Arena.
“This is our third time performing in Sydney at this venue and we are thrilled to have sold-out three shows and broken the record for tickets sales for a sporting event,” said Nitro Circus CEO, Michael Porra. “This Australian tour has been the official unveiling of a stunning all-new show and was also the debut of Nitro’s multi-million dollar set and world first Trigant-A-Ramp.
We achieved unbelievable success overseas on our recent global tour, selling out shows in some of the world’s most iconic venues but to come back to Australia and reach a spectacular - four sold-out shows in Brisbane, four sold-out shows in Melbourne and three sold-out shows in Sydney, is simply incredible.”
Allphones Arena Commercial Manager, Phil King, said today "This year’s Nitro Circus Live show is unlike anything we’ve ever seen, the team have really taken it to a new level of performance. The 2014 tour was a huge success and we’re ecstatic they’ve achieved this house record for a sporting event. Thank you to Travis Pastrana and the extremely talented Nitro Crew for putting on the sporting event to rival all sporting events.”
