At Qudos Bank Arena we work hard to reduce our impact on the environment. On Saturday, 25th March 2017 we will be joining the World Wildlife Fund and millions of people worldwide for Earth Hour, the single largest public event to raise awareness about energy conservation and climate change. We’ll be turning off our lights for one hour to show the power each one of us has to make a difference.
2017 will mark the 10th anniversary of Earth Hour as a global phenomenon. What started as an Aussie idea has grown into a global force of nature, that is now celebrated in over 172 countries and over 7,000 cities and towns worldwide. The symbolic hour has grown into the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment, with beyond-the-hour projects and initiatives happening throughout the year. In 2017 we’re inviting you to join in the action as we celebrate 10 years of climate change progress and switch off to support progress for the future.
