More than 1.3 million event goers have passed through the doors of Qudos Bank Arena across 130 events in 2025, smashing attendance records and resulting in international recognition for Australia’s largest and most diverse indoor venue.
Owned by TEG and proudly operated by Legends Global, Qudos Bank Arena has been named in the Top-5 Live Music Venues in the World for 2025 by Billboard magazine as the busiest year in the Arena’s 26-year history. (*Venues with a capacity of 15,001 or more)
As a spectacular calendar of events rolled out in 2025, Pollstar named Qudos Bank Arena the No.1 venue globally for ticket sales in March 2025. (*Venue of the Month 15,001 to 30,000 capacity)
Among the attendance records to fall in a bumper 2025:
- Katy Perry returned to Qudos Bank Arena for three blockbuster shows, marking a standout moment for TEG-promoted events in 2025 and reinforcing the venue’s status as a home for global touring acts.
- Qudos Bank Arena celebrated the Billie Eilish Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour by breaking the long-standing single event attendance record previously set by Justin Timberlake for the FutureSex/LoveShow Tour 18 years prior. The new record that was set on 28 February 2025 welcomed 21,001 attendees, eclipsing the previous mark of 20,839 held by Timberlake for the 13 November 2007 show;
- The Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour was so popular that three of the four dates performed by the nine-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter eclipsed the previous Arena attendance record;
- In November, RÜFÜS DU SOL sold 48,865 tickets across 3 shows, setting a new benchmark for the highest ticket sales for an electronic dance music act for their Inhale / Exhale tour.
- Also in November 2025, the Arena sold 29,572 tickets over two shows for TWICE’s This Is For World Tour, establishing a new record for the highest ticket sales by a K-Pop artist.
Qudos Bank Arena Acting General Manager, Michael Cox, said of the record-breaking year: “2025 has been a year to remember on so many levels at our famous Arena with a wide range of events appealing to fans across multiple demographics.
“For Qudos Bank Arena to welcome more than 1.3 million customers and be named by Billboard as one of the Top-5 music venues globally proves Sydney is matching it with the great cities of the world when it comes to delivering live entertainment.”
Tim McGregor, Global Head of Touring, TEG, said:
“Qudos Bank Arena continues to set the benchmark for live entertainment in Australia and globally. The breadth and scale of events delivered in 2025 reflects not only the strength of the touring market, but the Arena’s ability to consistently deliver for artists, promoters and fans. As the lessee of Qudos Bank Arena, TEG is incredibly proud to see the venue recognised on the world stage and to play a role in bringing some of the biggest tours to Sydney.”
Megan Walker, Group Director, Arenas, Australia, Legends Global said:
“We leverage the power of the Legends Global network to help power Qudos Bank Arena’s significant contribution to the Sydney and New South Wales economy by programming compelling content, attracting visitors and securing investment. A busy arena generates local business with suppliers and creates employment opportunities for people across Sydney.”
At the same time as big concerts rolled out in 2025, Qudos Bank Arena also hosted a series of world-class sporting events, including a sold-out UFC 312 in February, international boxing featuring Sydney’s own George Kambosos Jr, while the Sydney Kings and Sydney Flames both featured at blockbuster NBL and WNBL home games.
Among many other highlights in 2025, Qudos Bank Arena – in partnership with multicultural marketing agency Cultural Pulse – received a Merit Award for Campaign of the Year at the 10th Annual TechDiversity Awards.
The recognition celebrates a transformative initiative that redefines how the Arena connects with multicultural audiences. “With approximately 15 per cent of concerts now multicultural, and the Arena located within 10km of communities where 75 per cent of residents have at least one parent born overseas, our team identified a clear opportunity to better serve these diverse audiences,” QBA Acting General Manager Michael Cox explained.
The Qudos Bank Arena team also reaffirmed its dedication to respecting, celebrating and acknowledging Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with the launch of its Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan during National Reconciliation Week in May 2025.
On the commercial front, Qudos Bank Arena and Accor, Australia’s largest hotel operator, extended their partnership for another three years. As part of this renewed collaboration, Accor introduced the ‘Instant Suite Upgrade’ competition through its ALL Accor loyalty program, giving fans the chance to enjoy an exclusive experience in the Accor Corporate Suite at Qudos Bank Arena.
Additionally, the famous MG Motor brand is now front and centre at Qudos Bank Arena events following the announcement of a three-year automotive partnership.
Like MG, our team at Qudos Bank Arena is focused on delivering premium experiences that exceed expectations – fuelled by a commitment to community, sustainability and innovation.
